Comments on Seguin Family Reunion 2001:

Seguin Texas, Nolte Island, October 27, 2001
There was much concern about the weather conditions in October, but we kept praying for a good day and our faithful Lord answered our prayers.

What a day! Thank you Lord. I’m so proud of all the dedicated family members on our different committees under the leadership of our beloved Albert Gonzales (who never wants to take any credit). I’m sorry, but he is the force behind our successes. We all are grateful for his tireless commitment in keeping the focus on our great Texas hero Juan N. Seguin.

Maria Ybarra did a fantastic job on our T-shirts.

Using Michael Sepulvedas phrase, “Each family reunion is snow balling, they keep getting bigger and bigger.” I agree.

Tony Morales who is Aunt Gerty’s son came from Kansas. He was so impressed he told us that this was a well-planned event. How happy I was to see so many children (and no fights).

We welcome any comments or suggestions as we learn from any mistakes that we might have unintentionally made. We want to do better at our next family reunion.

I wish to thank all who worked so hard to make our family reunion successful this year. A great big THANK YOU to all families who were present, and a special thank you for those coming from out of town.

The Seguin Family is unique. We are proud to be descendants of a great Texas hero, Juan N. Seguin.

Until our next Family Reunion, may God richly bless each and everyone.

Sincerely,
Julia G. Aguilar
